Hi there! I’d like to define :first-character and :first-line styles for blogposts when they appear on a single-post page. Where should I define these pseudo-classes within style.css for Epik?

Also, I’d like to include lettering and kern.js scripts to manage the typography a bit. Where’s the ‘right’ place to implement these jquery plugins within Epik? Basically, I need an answer that says something like, “Put [this code] in [this spot] in [this file].”

    Thanks for being Awesome!

You would have to add this in yourself. You can include it anywhere in the file, just create a custom area for it if you want.

There are tons of tutorials on how to add jquery files in Genesis. You’ll see how to do it by searching for – “how to add jquery scripts in genesis” …..whatever works for one child theme will work for another since Genesis is a framework. So whatever the solution is, it will work for this theme as well.

I noticed you’ve made a lot of posts here recently, so assuming your new to Genesis, I’d recommend checking out the tutorials, code snippets and other resources on StudioPress located here – http://www.studiopress.com/resources and here – http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/ and that should handle most of the basics.

We also have some tutorials specifically for Epik located on the main forum page (stickied at the top) – http://appfinite.com/forum/epik-theme-support/ and a couple more at the top of the menu above – http://appfinite.com/tutorials/ ….this in addition to Googling everything is what helped me get up and running with Genesis. Theres a lot of tutorials out there for Genesis on how to do just about anything.

    Hope that helps
