      I have chosen not to use version 1.3 and sticking with 1.2 for the moment and I’m looking for a step by step setup guide that reflects getting a result similar to the Optimal Theme demo site? Specifically which widgets go in which sidebars and how they are configured.

        I have more tutorials and code snippets coming soon for all themes. Here are the widget locations from the old theme….they are the same as the new version – https://appfinite.com/topic/optimal-widgets-location/ so all you have to do is move your widgets into the same place, if they aren’t there automatically.

          I had already looked at that page and it’s a good general guide but doesn’t go into specific details about widget configuration.

            Or w which widgets. For example, the Home Feature section.

              Are those text widgets you have in the example for the “Home Feature” section?

                Oh, yes those are just text widgets. Here is the exact code in the first widget –

                <img class="alignleft" src="your_link_goes_here.png">You read that right. Optimal features 12 theme colors that you can choose from to best match your business.<!--formatted-->

                And the rest of the widgets are the exact same in that section.

                All of the other widgets are text widgets as well, except for the Home Featured Posts section. The Home Featured Posts section is using the Genesis Featured Posts widget….and it’s set to show 3 posts.

                I’m in the process of updating this site design/layout, and will be adding as much documentation and code snippets that I can. So let me know if there is any more code snippets you need for now.
