    Hi,

I have a static home page (template is default). I also have a blog (template is blog). I would like to show latest 3 or 4 posts excerpt adn thumbnail on the home page after the content (but before the footer.

Is there a way to do this? i tried putting Genesis feature post widget in a number of the feature home wdiget areas in Epik but nothing appears.

    Any suggestions?

Yes the Genesis Featured Post widget is the way to go if that’s what you’re trying to do. It should show up if you add it to any of the widget areas. Just make sure you have the widget setup properly in the settings.

Hi Eric, Thanks for the reply.

Which of the 14 home widgets would I put the Genesis Feeature Widget in? I have tried a few but nothing appears on the home page.

Also, when you say the widget needs to be set up properly, which widget do you mean? One of the Epik home widgets or the Genesis feature post widget?

    Thanks.

That depends where you want it. For a visual of the widgets locations, take a look at this guide – https://appfinite.com/topic/epik-widgets-guide/

I was referring to the Genesis Featured Widget settings/options.

This is all assuming you’re using the default Home template/widgets

    Hi Eric, thanks again.

As stated above, I want it after the content on the home page – but above teh footer. And, I am using the page template which is simply called “Defualt”. i have not modified the home widgets in anyway.

Thanks for the link. I tried putting the Genesis widget in several Home Feature widgets – but nothing ever appears. The answer is probably really simple, but I just don’t know wherre to start looking.

OK, here is what I have discovered. If I switch to “Show posts” in the reading settings of WP, it shows the Genesis Post Featured Widget – but it doesn’t show the home page (a default Template page in Epik.)

So, how can I get both my home page (static) and the latest posts widget (Genesis featured post in Home featured 14) to show?

I have no idea why it’s not working. I’ve always just added the widget and set how many posts I wanted to show, and they would show. I’ve never had an issue with it myself.

Can’t think of what it could be. Do you have any other plugins active that could possibly be interfering with it? Try disabling each one to see if thats the case. Or check any custom code that you may have added to your theme.
