OK, this is a very strange problem, not sure if it is a wordpress issue, or something with this theme. Here’s what happens. I use genesis simple sidebars to create one extra sidebar for one specific page. The problem, when I am logged in everything works fine with the widgets I have placed in the default sidebar and the one extra sidebar. When I am logged out, they don’t seem to work.

I don’t have tons of plugins, and have gotten rid of everything that is not essential to the site. It is only 4-5 page site anyway. But this is really strange.

I’ve tried clearing cache, clearing super cache, etc. This happens in all the major browsers. At first I thought it was just in safari, but when I logged in, in safari, everything was fine. When I log out, the sidebars are not showing correctly for how I have them set up.

Ever heard anything like this? Is it a database issue, hosting issue, php version issue? I am stumped. Please help.

      Have a look for yourself.

I’ve never had this issue with this theme, nor any genesis theme, and I’ve used this plugin a few times. I would say it’s probably either a caching issue, or permissions setting. Have you tried deactivating your cache plugin? If that doesn’t work, try deactivating each active plugin one at a time to see if that fixes it.

Thanks for your help Eric. Appreciate the lifeline.

I have caching turned off. And I have tried turning off pretty much all the plugins. What do you mean by permissions settings? I thought of creating a new user and then making changes. ???

This is just so bizarre, never seen anything like it.
