      Good afternoon,

I am having a problem with my sliders on two differtent sites. I have placed a topic before and got an answer, however I can not replay on that last topic. The site of appfinite says I am logged in and I can not replay. However, I am logged in, so here is a new topic…

Last month I made a site http://www.bjanssen-timmerbedrijf.nl. There I made a slider with images 960x350px. I also changed these numbers in the settings of the slider. However, the slider is way to the left of the site, not in the middle…

At the moment I am building a new site http://www.kvm-nederland.nl. Here I also added a slider with picture size 1140x396px. I also changed these numbers in the settings of the slider. At this site the slider is on the left as well. Not only that, but it cuts the images in the slider as well… It resizes it to a width of 870px… How is this possible? I can’t seem to get it in the middle and in the right size… Would you be so kind to take a look at it and perhaps give me an answer so I can change it?

      Thanks in advance!

Ps. I have also looked in this forum at the other topics about this issue. I think I am handling it correctly, but can’t be sure…

      Kind regards, Joost

See my comment here – https://appfinite.com/topic/another-slider-issue/#post-7562 ….you just need to move your slider to the “Slider” widget and not the Slider Wide widget.

Also, as you’ve already noticed, the width of the theme is 1140px and not 960px…so set your settings to 1140px and then use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin so it can adjust all of your images to fit within the slider according to your settings.

Also, in the future, if you run into that issue where you’re logged in and you’re not able to post, just hit your “Reload” button or Clear your Browser Cache and you should be able to post. You can also log out and log back in and that would get you in as well – https://appfinite.com/wp-login.php

          Hi Eric,

Thanks for the quick replay. I didn’t know it was that easy, just place it in “slider” haha. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the help!… I have tried to find what the difference is between the two sliders, but I can’t find it. Why are there two different sliders in de widgets and can you tell me the difference / or send me a document in which it is explaint in?

I also have two other questions…
My portfolio page (on my site its called Projecten) shows the posts. However, the posts are stretched out (in length). Is it possible to change the contance of the post within the portfolio so it wound be as stretched? What I mean is, can I show just a part of the post in the “portfolio post”? (hope you understand what I mean)

The Header logo keeps on changing to the same size (360x196px) eventho I make it eg. 160x69px… Can I create a custom size for the header logo?

          Kind regards, Joost

Sure I’d be happy to help, but you’ll need to create separate threads for each question/issue. They have a “One question per thread policy” to keep everything organized here in the forums – https://appfinite.com/topic/forum-rules/. So please create a separate thread for any other questions you have and we can get right to it.

For the slider question – One of the widget areas are for those that need a full width widget area. The other widget area “Slider” is 1140px.
