Hi there,
I am just wondering do I have the full theme downloaded? I can’t get the slider to appear. I have created slider posts with featured images, and set slider settings to show posts in the slider category and I have also inserted the widget but nothing seems to be working.
Also can you please let me know how I can reduce the size of the header area to push the slider up the page.

thank you.

Yes, you have the full theme. Did you add a featured image to any of those posts that you’re adding? Here is a tutorial to get it setup – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-add-the-genesis-responsive-slider/ and here is a video which goes into a bit more detail if you need – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4e7UG1LzLk

Thanks Eric,
I had researched those links and ticked all the boxes to match the tutorials. I just reset the slider settings and started from scratch and it started working. The temperory slider images are there to check for size they are 1140 x 400 px but they don’t fill the screen. In fact, everything, (not just the slider) is off centre. Can you see how it’s all on the left side? very strange indeed.
I notice too that on the mobile view the logo, slider and other images are also off centre. What could this be?
Thanks
@Barry, all you need to do now is use the Regenerate Thumbnails – http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ plugin and it will adjust all of your images to the sizes you have set in your settings. Everyone uses this plugin with most Genesis and other WordPress themes when dealing with sizes. Anytime you change your size, make sure and run that plugin.

Hi Eric,
Carol here (sorry I was logged into Barry’s account on the last message)
I had forgot to mention that I had already run the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin but no change. I just tried it there again and you can see for yourself that it has made no difference unfortunately.
Any ideas?
Have you added a width in the slider settings? I think you may need to set the width in the Settings, because 920px is the default size and that’s what is showing up in the code. Try changing the width to 1140px and then try the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin if it doesn’t change immediately.

Hi,
Yes that’s definitely helped with the slider, thanks for that.
The other problem still remains though, can you see it yourself that the whole website is still aligned to the left? -both on the desktop and mobile. Have you come across this before?
Thanks again for all your help.
Carol
Looks like you’re using a plugin or something to add styles to the css? Here is the exact code that is causing that issue –
.wrap, #dashboard-widgets .meta-box-sortables, .ui-buttonset {
margin: 0 !important;
}
That code is coming from this plugin – http://digimarketingstudio.com/wp-content/plugins/coming-soon-maintenance-mode-ready/css/adminStyles.css?ver=3.8
