Currently, I placed a large image with some text boxes overlaid, using a slider plugin on my site (www.protectingcyberkids.com). I need to reduce the size of the image because this is the only thing appearing above the fold. I want all the elements that are displayed on the demo to appear above the fold, so I need to know what the maximum size you think the image should be in order to accomplish this. I’d like the image to cover the place where the content of the slider appears; that way more of the page will appear above the fold.

I’m going to eliminate the slider and have a programmer create the code for the text boxes over the image.

I appreciate your help and prompt reply.

The largest size the image should be is 960px since thats the size of the theme you’re using (btw they released a new version of this theme). The slider should be responsive, so you may want to login and download the plugin to make sure you have the latest version.

Thanks for your response. Which slider plugin are you referring to – the Genesis slider?

Any slider, since your questions is about the width.
