Hmmm, well I’ve been using 3.0 which is also referred to as “Full Site Editor” themes. Much easier to use, especially if you want to quickly build a page without code. However, I do have some customers and clients that still prefer to use Genesis even though it does require a bit more coding to make certain types of customizations. It really depends on the person.
If you’re just building a basic site and want to use the layouts that are already designed without dealing with code, then go ahead and try the FSE version. All you would need to do is add the block/layout and simply replace the images and text with your own.
BTW, I have an FSE version for every Genesis theme that we have available. So no matter what theme we have that is built for Genesis, we also have an FSE version made for WP as well.
Of course if you try the FSE version, but would rather use the Genesis version then it should still work perfectly fine. You can’t go wrong either way. Both versions are great for WP.
