No, I have not heard back from Wes. I have 20 client sites using Legacy that I’m going to have to re-skin.
Perfect! Thank you Wes!
Bingo! Thank you Wes!
Hi Wes,
If it’s helpful…
I installed the Ambition Theme on my staging site, and deactivated all plugins.
http://legacy.dlmwebdevelopment.com/
The result is the same… the YouTube video will not play full screen in any of the home page widgets of Ambition, when using the Chrome browser.
But it will play full screen when embedded on an interior page –

Thanks for looking into it,
Hello Wes,
I was able to successfully add the fp-left and fp-right features of Guru into the Ambition theme – fantastic!
URL: http://horizonsatgfa.org/dev/
A couple of questions:
The .fp-right has 9px of space that appears beneath the image, which isn’t padding and isn’t margin. I cannot figure out what’s causing that space. The space does not appear on the .fp-left2, and I can’t figure out what the difference is.
I’d like to restrict the blog loop on the home page to a particular post category ID. I’ve look at the /lib/theme-defaults.php but don’t see an option for this. Is there a line I could add to achieve this?
Thank you,
Danna
Sorry – spoke to soon. In searching through the style.css, this line was inadvertently changed to genesis.pst. Sorry for the fire drill.
Template: genesis
Thank you Wes.
Good plugin to know.
And as a follow up on the Urgent issue with Optimal v1.2… The “issue” was NOT with your Theme (of course!)
It was that a third party vendor, ChowNow, had added code to the website for online ordering. That triggered a cascade of crazy errors implicating the Theme, plugins, etc. Even after commenting out their code, the issues still appeared, so it took me forever to isolate and determine that their code was indeed the source of the problem. Good grief. An experience I never want to repeat.
Thanks again for your help.
Well, I cloned the website into the /dev sub-folder and activated Optimal 1.5 and it’s working beautifully. None of the weird plugin issues or weird media library issues appear. And when I load Optimal 1.2 on the /dev site, all the problems reappear.
It’s just so bizarre by switching to another theme, and then switching back would have such a dramatic effect. How could home.php just not load?!?
Anyway I do appreciate you taking a look.
Thank you!
It’s a simple image slider that appears on each of the Location pages, and the Catering page.
I’m fine to lose it, but deactivating appears to not make a difference.
Wes, please, don’t spend much time on this… I just thought you might see some immediately.
There is both a home-save.php and a home.php.
I created the SAVE version when I was pulling down backup copies of home.php, but they are exactly the file.
This is the only item turning up in the debug log. Disabled the NextGen plugin has no effect.
[06-Oct-2016 02:21:12 UTC] Sorry, but recursing filters on “the_content” breaks NextGEN Gallery. Please see https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/17817 and NGG_DISABLE_FILTER_THE_CONTENT

Crazy huh?
I tried changing the name of the plugins folder to see if that was the case, but no luck.
Just sent credentials to appfinite@gmail.com
Username is Appfinite
Can you access those?
I’ve already started building out the new site at http://rocklands.com/dev/
but with the live site looking the way it does, it stresses everyone (me) to get the new site up asap.
I will turn on the debug log and send that to you shortly.
Thank you!
fyi, the home page of Rocklands.com should look like this screenshot:

Thanks!
Wes, thanks for your response.
Funny… this took 3 emails to Studio Press to figure it out, and I’m almost embarrassed at the simple solution.
Go to Users > Your Profile in your site’s dashboard and be sure the box is checked to “Enable SEO Settings submenu.”
So now you know.
Hi Wes,
Thanks so much for your response.
Net net, once I started focusing on the right Theme, and looking at the SquareOne using ScreenFly to see various screen resolutions, and then understanding how the Theme’s home page image was designed to work, I was able to work through my code and get it right.
So sorry to waste your time!
Best, Danna
ok, well it would help if I even knew which Theme I was working on. It’s using SquareOne, not InSync. Let me recalibrate, and I might make a post in that forum.
Never mind – got it –
opacity: 1;
left: auto;
Just a followup. The solution to this came by writing a function to add a hook to genesis_after_header that would display the featured image.
Hi Eric,
Oh, you mean make the slider widget appear on each page? Say through widget logic? That might work.
You asked for a link to the site –
http://dev.clevelandwoodleyparkvillage.org/about-us/
Thanks for the help!
Danna
Eric,
Thanks for the link. I went back and tried the line with the correct characters and what I found was that it removed both Page and Post titles. I only want to remove Page titles (so I can add my own h1 headers).
However, the link your provided is great. If I’m understanding it all correctly, there is not a way to remove all Page titles only because both Page and Post titles use the same genesis_entry_header. So, this code which specifically calls page titles – and I simply have to type in the Page IDs – will work best for my purposes.
//* Remove page title for multiple pages (requires HTML5 theme support)
//* Change page ids to match your needs
add_action( 'get_header', 'child_remove_page_titles' );
function child_remove_page_titles() {
$pages = array( 63,65,67 );
if ( is_page( $pages ) ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_do_post_title' );
}
}
Thanks so much for the resources!
This is the php code that worked for my site. Found at this resource –
http://wpsites.net/web-design/remove-titles-specific-conditions/
add_action( 'get_header', 'remove_titles_all_single_pages' );
function remove_titles_all_single_pages() {
if ( is_singular('page') ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_do_post_title' );
}
}
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the response, and you’re correct – it is Legacy 1.3
Unfortunately, this code does not work. It doesn’t break the site; but it also doesn’t remove the Page Titles.
remove_action( ‘genesis_entry_header’, ‘genesis_do_post_title’ );
The code on the page is this:
<header class="entry-header">
<h1 class="entry-title" itemprop="headline"> </h1>
I’m going to head over to the Genesis forums and see what I can find… so odd. But please let me know if you find another solution.
Thanks!
Hi Wes,
I went through the functions.php file revision by revision and this code is what appears to be breaking the portfolio page:
<code>
/** Modify the Genesis content limit read more link */
add_filter( ‘get_the_content_more_link’, ‘custom_read_more_link’ );
function custom_read_more_link() {
return ‘… <a class=”more-link” href=”‘ . get_permalink() . ‘”>read more</a>’;
}<code>
Which I used from this link – http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-excerpts/#content-more-link
Any thoughts on a workaround?
Thank you,
