Thanks Wes, super articles! I followed the first one and added arrows. I wish that the top level arrows would point down like V
I do like how the 2nd-level arrows point out like >

Do you by chance know how I might do that? This is the code I added:
/* Menu Dropdown arrows
——————————————— */
.genesis-nav-menu > .menu-item-has-children > a:after {
content: “\f347”;
display: inline-block;
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
font: normal 16px/1 ‘dashicons’;
padding-left: 3px;
vertical-align: top;
}
.genesis-nav-menu .menu-item-has-children > a:after {
content: “\f345”;
display: inline-block;
-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;
font: normal 16px/1 ‘dashicons’;
padding-left: 3px;
vertical-align: top;
}
Yes, it is! Thanks so much for the advice and the link to the tutorial. I will tackle this when I’ve got time – it’s a wee bit intimidating! But I’ll give it a whirl. Thanks so much for your help!
Brilliant! That is exactly what I needed to hide just those pages. Ahhh, so much better.
As far as a custom template to hide the Author: Erin Muck, should I do some research on that…? I’m not totally sure how to begin.
Thanks again Wes!
Thank you Wes, will do!
Hi! I found out what was going on… I have Genesis Simple Edits installed and one of the defaults is to show the post author. As soon as I discovered and removed that, the name disappeared.
Thank you again for all your help!
Thank you so much! The excerpts are working, however, I added the code snippet to my functions.php to remove the author, and it is still there…

That helped so much! However, is it possible that it tightened up the spacing of the main drop down? When I look at it now it looks more bunched together.

Is there a way to add more padding top and bottom to separate each item, plus maybe some line-spacing so the 2-liners aren’t so close together?
Thank you again for all your help!
That was perfect, thanks so much for your help!
Awesome! That worked perfectly, thank you so much! Just curious, when will the next theme update be available and will I be notified via WordPress updates? Thanks again for your help Wes!
That’s good to hear. My monitor is 1920 x 1080 but my image is 1800 x 800. I’ve tried a variety of sizes, and for some reason, the photo looks a bit fuzzy. But I will keep playing around. Thank you, Erin
