Thanks for your reply.
But there’s already a plugin added to my widget area for the RSS chicklet.
I created it with Genesis extender plugin as follows:
– custom widget area
– name: xxx
– hook: genesis_after_sidebar_widget_area
– hooked
The thing is I don’t know what to do in order to place this widget (RSS chicklet) below my last posts’ list (but i know this is possible since i’ve seen it on other websites, not Genesis child themes).
As for question 2. a), i therefore understand this may not be possible with a Genesis child theme, is that right?
Thanks.
Please find it below:
1. on http://www.locdu.com/blog/, i’d like:
a) to place the RSS chicklet below my last posts’ list.
b) to place some text above my last posts’ list – something like “Things you may have missed”.
2. is it possible:
a) not to display at all my last posts’ list in the sidebar (in some pages)?
b) place my last posts’ list somewhere else in the sidebar, say above “Categories” (still on the test page mentioned at the beginning of this post, http://www.locdu.com/blog/?
well, again. here’s the link: http://www.locdu.com/blog/
thanks Eric, very useful 🙂
OK, thanks for your answer. (yes i frequently come visit the very useful tutorials you post on the forum).
UPDATE TO PREVIOUS QUESTION
In your demo site, you don’t seem to have any description for your website, it doesn’t seem to be meant for displaying a description.
I therefore tried to remove my site’s description and wrote a slightly longer text into “welcome wide” widget (which i customized with some css).
So now my questions are different from my previous post (although I placed the description back for you to see what I previously meant):
1. I’m fairly new to SEO tips & tricks, does the fact of not having a description for my website affect the SEO?
2. In Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.43, the Genesis responsive slider is not centered while in Safari it’s perfect. Is there a workaround?
Thank you very much.
Thanks Wes.
Footer customization: I installed “genesis simple edits” plugin. However, what should be entered in “footer credits text” field (on the plugin’s edit page) in order to have a link to my Home page?
Presently, after I modified it, the mentioned field contains the following: Copyright [footer_copyright] My name
Note: i checked all the links you mention but I’m surprised that on Studiopress resources they don’t seem to provide with an answer to such a basic question.
