Hi Scooby
Thanks for the additional help. I put @eric’s code in the css sections headed:
/* Desktops, laptops and iPads (landscape)
——————————————— */
@media only screen and (max-width: 1480px) {
On page http://www.carbidoff.com/traders/ I’ve put the caption in and the image is now too big. Have I put the css code in the wrong section?
Many thanks
Hi Scooby
Thanks for checking but I’ve taken off all the captions so that the images look ok on mobiles.
I was just wondering if it was possible to have captions on the images because when I put the caption in, the image width and height automatically appear in the page code. That then makes the image too big on mobiles because it has a fixed width.
Hi guys thanks so much for that.
I put the CSS code in and added 100% width but unfortunately the only way to get the images to appear properly on mobiles is to take off the caption and remove the fixed image size and the 100% width.
Do you know if it’s possible to have a caption on and still have the image show properly on mobiles?
Thanks again for all the help
Yep carbidoff.com
Hi Wes it’s version 11
Thanks for that Kronos much appreciated.
Can anyone help with this or point me in the right direction
I had the same problem but if you go to my.studiopress.com you can download the new version
Hi again
Still a little confused but can you tell me if I’ve got this right.
I do a find and replace in my old Legacy css file and replace the XHTML with the new HTML5.
I then copy this CSS file into the Legacy 1.3 CSS file and then upload 1.3 to WordPress.
But I’m still not sure what I do about the new hooks. Once I’ve uploaded Legacy 1.3 do I have to go through the functions php file and change the hooks there?
Thanks
Thanks for that Kronos, unfortunately the Brian Gardner link isn’t working but I’ll try a search for the tutorials you mentioned.
Thanks Wes got it to work with <div class=”note-box” style=”width: 530px; margin:0 auto;”>abc</div>
I think I’ll have to get rid of W3TC as I emptied all the caches and nothing happened but when I disabled it the changes showed. However soon as I enabled it again it went back to the old version.
Thanks for trying Wes
I’ve just looked at the file via SFTP and it’s showing the changes so it looks like the old file is cached somehow. I’ll disable W3TC and see if that does anything.
Thanks again for your help on this
Hi Wes
Thanks for getting back to me.
I’ve just saved the file again and it says file edited successfully, do you know of another way I can check to see if it has actually saved.
Many thanks
Thanks for that Wes.
I made the change a few hours ago and cleared the cache but it’s still not showing up or when I look at the post with Firebug. Any ideas what could be wrong?
