oh, i didn’t touch the home.php file, do i need to use this file?

UPDATE:

I have copied and pasted Welcome feature 3 in my function php file to make another 2 widget area’s and renamed them 4 & 5.
They are there in the widget area (under the original 3) and I have added a text widget but the content doesn’t show up on the site.

Any ideas?
