Blog template not showing the right number

I went through the steps to create a page, assigned the Blog template to it, then went to settings and made that page my Posts Page. However, when I do that, all I see are the home page widgets and no content. It seems like both the Home and Blog templates are the same. I’m not even sure how to trouble-shoot this?

Take a look at this tutorial – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ To set your homepage as your blog, all you would need to do is make sure no Home Widgets are being used. Once you do that, the theme is designed to show your blog posts on the homepage by default.

Oh now I see what you mean. I’ve never seen that happen before. Have you made any modifications to any of your files?

Edit: If you haven’t made modifications to your files, then maybe it could be a plugin causing the issue. I have seen something similar to this from another user, but they had a plugin setup improperly. Once they fixed it everything started working again. What plugins are you using? Do you have any that are related to customizing Genesis?

I even tried removing all the functions file stuff that I had put in and nothing seems to change it. Were you able to look at it at all?

Figured it out! It wasn’t a conflict, it was that I had the Display Widgets plugin running and for the home page widgets I didn’t restrict them to the home page. Sorry for the bother.
