I love the blue in Optimal but it just clashes with my company blue. I used to be able to find the place where you edited the themes, but since about WordPress 3.7 I can’t.

Can I change the Optimal blue to a different shade but still keep the gradient? If so how?

    My site is http://hiltoncopy.com.

Yes you can change the color to whatever you want with css. Take a look in your css file in the Optimal Blue section. The only thing that you won’t be able to change with css are the images with gradients. Since they are images you would have to either recreate the images or remove them and replace them with a css color. The bottom of the slider with the gradient is an image – http://www.hiltoncopy.com/wp-content/themes/optimal/images/dark-blue/slider-bg.png but the header is css.

    Hi Eric,

I went to the optimal blue section and tried to change the header wrap to #003399cc but it’s coming out gray when in photoshop that hex code is a shade of blue…

    Any ideas?

#003399cc is too long, it’s only supposed to be 6 digits for a hex color. So you may want to take another look at the color you’re trying to add.

    Hi Eric,
it seems like the theme is interpreting the color code differently to photoshop. The code #3399cc is set now on the style sheet but it’s appearing differently see http://www.digimarketingstudio.com

(I noticed this too on another theme. I dowloaded a set of icons and when uploaded to the theme, the colors changed slightly)

The theme doesn’t affect how the color looks, you just have two different colors. Your logo is #4088D4 and the header background color is #3399CC….these are two completely different colors.

I start on thinking that the theme I have purchased isn´t ready for the actual wp.
    What can I do?
    Could Appfinite help me please?

Which part are you referring to? Are you talking about the logo/text or the background of the header? The logo/text is changed from the Header link under Appearances in your WordPress Admin. If you’re trying to change the entire background, you have to do that in your css file.

“I start on thinking that the theme I have purchased isn´t ready for the actual wp.”

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here, the theme should work perfectly fine. Can you please explain?
