I have the Leagacy theme and really like it, including the portfolio page setup. I also have the Studio Press Metro them and want to ask if it is possible to incorporate the portfolio page setup as you have it designed into the Metro theme to use in the same way?

It’s possible, but you would have to know how to code the css to get the look that you want. You would also have to copy the portfolio file as well as the portfolio code in the functions file.

You can try this tutorial for an easier way to do it if the regular way is too difficult – http://www.briangardner.com/portfolio-page/

Hi, thanks for rely. Checked that link and the portfolio page setup is different in that it’s only 3 photos wide with no link to post – so really a pure photo showcase page. I want the look and functions of the portfolio page as seen on my Legacy theme, not so much for viewing photos, but for showing a library of free report covers and linking either to a squeeze page or landing page with video or text with sign up for that free report.

You say it’s possible and if I want to stick to just the look/functionality of the portfolio page in the Legacy theme, please can you outline the procedure? By copying the portfolio file as well as the portfolio code in the function file, do I need much extra coding work?

    Thanks for your understanding.

You would need to copy the portfolio file and all of the portfolio code in your functions file. The only thing after that is to style it with css…..if you know how….if not, then you’d probably want to hire a developer that can do it all for you.
