      Hi Wes –

Hope your week is wrapping up well. I’m getting pretty close to launching this thing! : )

This is one of the last tiny details on the punch list. I’d like to swap out the default smiley emoji with one that matches my color scheme, but I’m having trouble tracking down the file that sets the image file path.

This was easy on the old Epik theme – just change out the icon file in wp-includes / images / smilies.

Now it’s different. I can’t tell if it’s in Aspire, Genesis, or WP but it looks like there’s a class definition that specifies the file path https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2/svg/1f642.svg for the emoji. No trouble swapping it out if I could just find the darn class.

There’s an example at the bottom of the page patschuler.com/about.

Any ideas? I would be deeply grateful as always. Muchas gracias,

      Brian

Yeah that’s coming from WordPress itself. When I use a – 馃檪 it links to that same link you have. They should have some plugins or tutorials to swap them out if you need. Here’s some info in the Codex that should help – https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Smilies https://codex.wordpress.org/Emoji

          Awesome – Thanks Wes!

I checked out the link, and it looks like that should do it. Will go back to the workshop and tinker a bit.

Thanks for the help as always, and have a great night!

          Brian
