      Hello Wes,

I have bought the Epik and Genesis framework. Is there a way to install the demo content in my site, so I can work from there and start editing my way to the look I want.

I can change the images with the same image sizes etc.. I think that’s easier for me than try to figure out how to configure the theme with no documentation.

      Thanks!

The only demo content that Genesis has is the XML file inside of the theme…..but that will just upload content (posts, and pages) it won’t upload the images and widgets that I have in the demo. I haven’t seen anything that goes beyond that for Genesis. However, I will be adding more tutorials specifically for this theme (and other themes as well). I’ll be posting the exact code I used when creating the widgets. Most of the widgets on the homepage are html code inside text widgets.

So far I have this tutorial for the Plans that you see on the demo (near the bottom) – https://appfinite.com/topic/how-to-add-the-plans-features/ ….its located at the top of the Epik forum as a sticky post…..more will be coming very soon.

I also have a few general tutorials here – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/ (located at the top of the site in the menu) These tutorials will apply to all themes.

Until then, if there is a specific area on the demo that you’d like to create, just let me know and I’ll tell you exactly how I did it.

Thanks Wes, I will be periodically checking for tutorials on how to better use the theme.

I have added buddypress 1.7, but the theme doesn’t play nicely with it, eventhough the buddypress team said that this new version (beta) should work with all themes.

I installed genesys-buddypress-connect, and throw in the buddypress.css stylesheet inside your Epik theme, but the layout didn’t change much.

Any ideas for a quick fix?

          Thanks!

I’m honestly not sure what to do, I’ve never used buddypress myself. They want you to add their stylesheet inside the child theme’s stylesheet?

Do they have a forum, or a tutorial of some sort? or a tutorial specifically for Genesis? If not, I can ask around on Twitter if anyone with experience (BuddyPress + Genesis) can offer some help. Just let me know
