Front Page 9 widget not displaying vertical posts like demo

Optimal v 1.5

The demo shows 3 vertical posts (just like Optimal v1.2)

I am using the Genesis Featured Posts widget in Front Page 9, but my posts are showing full-width horizontal posts.

Did I miss a setting?

Actually that was my mistake, I forgot to include in the Docs that I’m using this plugin – https://github.com/calliaweb/featured-custom-post-type-widget-for-genesis to add in the posts. The reason I’m using this over the default Genesis Posts widget is because you can add Columns without the need of any code.

I use this plugin on a few different themes due to the ability to add columns. Give this a try and it should work.

I need to get this plugin added into the documentation.

Good plugin to know.

And as a follow up on the Urgent issue with Optimal v1.2… The “issue” was NOT with your Theme (of course!)

It was that a third party vendor, ChowNow, had added code to the website for online ordering. That triggered a cascade of crazy errors implicating the Theme, plugins, etc. Even after commenting out their code, the issues still appeared, so it took me forever to isolate and determine that their code was indeed the source of the problem. Good grief. An experience I never want to repeat.
