I was wondering if there was a way to change the background image (header) to a full size responsive photo, and have a logo. Our “old” theme is a Genesis Education Theme (early version) and it has such a banner.

If we upgrade to the EPIK theme (preferred) for a Genesis based responsive theme, we would like to keep our header “banner” image for the new site.

I’ve looked about sizing the logo.png so is that the way to do it? Assuming this also requires we do not use or eliminate the other containers?

Yes you should be able to do this with any Genesis theme. If it works with one Genesis theme, then it will work with another. The reason is because all Genesis Child themes have the same abilities…you’d just need to make the necessary adjustments to the CSS depending on your logo size, child theme, header width, etc.

I looked at your site, but it appears you still have the Education theme setup. Just let us know when you get the Epik theme installed and ready and I (or anyone else that beats me to it) can point you in the right direction in getting this setup.

Thank You Eric. We have Epik up and running on one site (walnutcreeksportsmen.com) and love it. The “parent” website is still on the old Genesis theme, and we (I) am considering moving it to either Epik or Legacy. I also have two more sites which are undergoing change to both Epik and Legacy themes. I just need to make sure that on the one theme, we can keep the full size header image.
