genesis home feature page #3 not working

hi there,

the third home feature page doesnt appear on the home page of the site. the settings are the same as the first 2 which appear fine http://www.theferriswheel.org

I don’t see the section or the widget at all in your source code. Can you reload your widgets page and see if their is any content inside of that widget area?

Hi Eric,

I restarted the computer and I can still see the widget area with the content in it inside the featured pages widget area, but it doesn’t appear on the front end.

I don’t think it’s the theme, I have it running locally and have setup a few sites with it and never experienced this. Plus the demo is showing up fine – http://demo.appfinite.com/ally/

If you’re adding css and it’s not showing up immediately, then that means you’re probably using a caching plugin of some sort. Check and make sure by deactivating it temporarily….also deactivate any other plugin that may be interfering.

Also, you don’t have to reset your computer, I meant reload the page in your browser by refreshing the page itself.

On the cached plugin, do you think it could be something to do with the edit css file that comes with jetpack-It might be slow to upload the changes?

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try to find the rogue plugin. Also, the layer slider has gone wierd, I was in touch with the developers and they said to get in touch with appfinite but on reading the forum comments I don’t think you provide support for layerslider. Might have to delete it as it’s not worth the hassle of trying to get the upgrade. I’m only sorry that I spent so much time on it so far.

I had refreshed the page so many times that I just re-booted to be sure, as I was getting slightly infuriated with all the lagging.

That’s very possible, but I’m not 100% sure since I haven’t seen or heard of that issue before. Usually when css changes don’t immediately show up it’s because of a Caching plugin like W3 Total Cache (for example).

Just let me know when you try it out. If you want me to login and check for you I can. Just create a temporary user/pass

You can create any email address, all I need is the login info. Just make sure and delete the info once we get this figured out.

I tried to login with the user/pass but it didn’t work. I tried with a lowercase and capitol as you suggested and it’s still not letting me in. Can you check to see what it could be?

Yep everything is working. You had your visibility option (at the bottom of the widget) set to in a way to where it wouldn’t show.

I added another Genesis Featured Page widget on top of that one so you can see the difference.

Also, your css editor was missing a bracket at the very end, I went ahead and added it for you.
