      Any ideas. I found some articles that suggested that these can be address in the function.php file.

        Not sure what it could be. That would only happen if you added code to your functions file, or added any other plugins/code. The child theme itself doesn’t cause these type of issues…..unless of course you’ve added custom code to the functions file.
