Hi,
I’ve read in other thread that you will be updating the themes to be Gutenberg compatible.
Can you explain further?
Given that our child themes are customized (CSS, functions.php, etc.), how can we update the theme just to add that Gutenberg compatibility?
Thanks.
And…
Almost have it ready! There were some last minute changes made that caused me to recode a few things. It’s taking a few extra days, but I wanted to make sure I get it right before releasing. I’ll still have it ready this week regardless.
For most, it might still work even if you don’t update the theme, but there are a few minor things that will need the update (full and wide images, etc).
I will have more info on how to upgrade without overwriting the entire theme.
BTW, Which theme are you using?
Hi Wes.
I’m using Epik.
The most important part is to be able to upgrade without overwriting the theme, that has it’s custom changes in style.css or functions.php.
The ideal should be to have a gutenberg-update.css (for example) file to include/call in functions.php, or similar. And a snippet to include in functions.php for the extra code.
Thanks.
Hi,
Have ALL Appfinite themes been updated to be optimized for Gutenberg?
I’m looking to buy a couple new themes; it looks as though Oasis IS compatible…
how about Aspire, Imagery… others?
Thanks.
