In case no one else answers, have you tried using the Genesis Featured Posts, or Pages widgets?

Brian Gardner has a tutorial on portfolios – http://www.briangardner.com/portfolio-page/ I’m not sure if thats what you’re looking for or not.

Then of course you could search WP.org to see if they have any plugins.

Cheers Eric. I’m actually referring to the standard blog portfolio page layout in Epik.

Yes, you can insert the genesis featured posts, but the CSS layout of the exist Epik portfolio looks a lot better

i.e trying to get it to look like http://mikemetcalfe.co/blogs/hotels-resorts-tourism/ in a homepage widget

Oh I see, yeah I can’t think of any easy ways to do it unfortunately.

If someone else knows or has done it please let us know.

Thks Eric, yep couldn’t solve that one. I don’t suppose there’s some shortcode type functionality that could display a particular portfolio (blog) category?

No that type of functionality would have to be created by coming up with the code (which could take a lot of effort/time to create)….thats why I recommended searching for a plugin since it would be easier to get setup.
