If I go to General > Reading and change the posts page to a static blog page, it removes the front page.

So, is there any other way of doing this?

    Thanks

    Hi Ron,

    Which version are you using?

In your admin go to the Customiser page, then click Homepage Settings. Set your Homepage Displays to “Static Page” and then set the Posts page to whichever page your Blog is located on. That should do it.

For this version (since it’s still based on Widgets for the Homepage) it shouldn’t matter what you set the “Homepage” to since it is designed to automatically show the Front page widgets through the front_page.php template. However, this will change in the very near future as this theme will be completely redeveloped to fully use Gutenberg to setup the Homepage Content.

I just did a test on a local install to make sure it’s working with the latest version of WordPress and Genesis and everything looks good.

Let me know if this works.

If not, let me know if you need me to login and take a quick look.

Okay, I did that and it works! Thanks Wes, I appreciate it.

I am also having a problem trying to move the primary navigation menu from the header section to the genesis_before_header section or even the genesis_before section, but I will create a new post for that.

    Thanks again for your help.
