I want to use the portfolio columns in the default template

I got a dark background, and have used the other pages with the default template, so people see the dark background and the white frame, i dont know if i can put that frame on the portfolio page to cover the tittle that doesnt show very well in the dark background.

I thought the easiest way would be use the default template and just copypaste the code of the portfolio posts that i can see from chrome in my navigator, i tried but it doesnt work very well:

Does anyone knows the code to use the same column with the hover and the preview of the blogpost?
