Home › Community Forums › Legacy Theme Support › ie7 workaround for Genesis Slider
I’m working on changing up the genesis slider at the top of a studiopress theme. I want the image slider butted
right up underneath the top nav and butted up right next to the welcome message below it. It looks great on every
browser but ie7 (figures…) where the wrap is exactly the right height BUT on ie7 the height exceeds the wrap for
some reason and the background is showing beyond the photos.
Here is a link to the site: http://www.originalginger.com/demos/legacy-2/.
Any suggestions on how to resolve the CSS so this doesn’t happen would be greatly appreciated.
I only develop on Mac computers, so I have no way of checking IE. Before I release new themes I usually find someone with a PC to make sure everything is working properly, but its with at least IE8 since most developers have dropped support for IE7 (and below).
I will leave the thread open in case there is another member that has access to IE7 and can assist with this.
Hopefully, someone else here can assist. (Off topic) Wes, you may want to try something like http://www.spoon.net for cross browser testing. It’s very affordable and makes life easier on the development side of things. 😉
Ok great, I’ll take a look. I’ve tried a lot of sites but haven’t found one that really matches up with the real IE. When I get some time I’ll definitely take a look at it.
