      Hi there,

      I’ve purchased Optimal recently and have started to create a website in German. I’ve noticed it doesn’t work in German as there’s no language file. It displays “Filed Under:” instead of “Verschlagwortet als:”, “1 comment” instead of “1 Kommentar”, “Read more…” instead of “Weiterlesen…” etc.

      How can I translate Optimal? I can’t find a .mo or .po file.

        I just saw this plugin thats supposed to do it automatically – http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-translations/ I haven’t tested it yet, but give it a try and let me know if it works. Otherwise you would have to manually translate it. You could do a Google search for “How to translate a Genesis theme”

        Also, since this is a German site, you could ask a well known Genesis Developer named David Decker – https://twitter.com/deckerweb (<– Twitter link, which also has his website you can contact him at) He is pretty good at translating, and may already have it ready.

          Hi Eric,

          thank you very much for your suggestion! The Genesis Translations plugin does the trick. It reads from wp-config.php which language I run WP in (de_DE) and uses the matching translation file. Nothing to set up, it just works right out of the box :-).

          I thought I needed a translation for the child theme. Google sent me to David Decker`s site first but there was no translation for Optimal.
