I’m sure it’s very simple but I can’t seem to be able to find how to modify the sidebar of the search results page. I want it to be the same sidebar as in my blog page, but I don’t know where to change or set that. If you Wes or anyone in this community can help, it’d be great!

It should show up as whatever layout you have set as the default layout. So go into your Genesis Theme settings and check to see what your default layout is.
You can use a plugin by David Decker (Genesis Community Developer) that allows you to choose different layouts for certain pages without needing to code – http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-layout-extras/
