      Hi there –

I’m working on this theme for a client and wanted to make a couple adjustments they really wanted.

      The current test site: http://valverderowell.katsmedia.com

What I need – I’m going to take out the “menu” in the navigation widget area as they wanted most the pages off it so I can just use HTML and code it directly …

I need the primary and secondary menus to be collapsible instead of that right header navigation. But I’d also like each menu option to have it’s own line if that’s possible (so they are stacked instead of side-by-side)?

I fiddled with the code a bit per the discussion here: https://appfinite.com/topic/mobile-site-doesnt-look-right/ but had no success getting even that second navigation set up – I thought if I did I could just replicate it, but it didn’t work *sniffs*

The other thing the client really wants is a sticky header area, which I think I can code directly by combining the logo with one of the menus – but I just wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be any overlap in the js at all?

Thanks so much for your help – I’ve really fallen in love with this theme – it’s a great one!

The latest version of Epik already includes the code for the Primary and Custom Menu/header right widget area, but not the Secondary menu. You could follow this tutorial to add them to your theme directly – http://wpbacon.com/tutorials/genesis-responsive-menu-2-0/

Alright, I still have some modifications to make but I have the dropdown menu working nicely based on that tutorial (excellent!) BUT the menus are open by default rather than closed. I left a comment on the article, but hoped another person looking might get me an idea on helping the situation faster 😉

A comment further down in the comments section suggests that they don’t drop down properly if the boostrap.min.css is loaded first. I think the stylesheet is loaded before any bootstrap css but maybe I overlooked something or something different that could be interfering?

I hate to be so close but still not quite there!

          Site again: http://valverderowell.com

          Thanks again!

You can mark this one as closed – I followed the tutorial and made some tweaks along the way and am just finishing up re-doing some of the other CSS but it’s working wonderfully (for all menu areas)! I basically swapped out his JS with what you had, and then customized the CSS a bit more. Thank you for tipping me off on that link! 😀
