I’d like to remove these things from the _portfolio_ posts only or any post based on a category id.
      1- date and author info
      2- filed under: category name
3- comments (yes- there is an allow comment checkbox)

I’m not clear as to the best way to do this as I don’t want to strip these from the blog posts.

      Thanks in advanced

Which theme are you using? And do you have a link? I would need a link so I can tell you what line to change, etc.

I’m confused, because 1, 2 and 3 (from your comment) doesn’t show up on portfolio posts….only on blog posts. Do you want to remove it from your BLOG posts? Or do you want to remove the portfolio posts from showing up in the blog to keep the portfolo and blog posts completely separate?

Sorry, I have to ask first to make sure I give you the right answer.

If you look at the theme demo, you’ll see the all posts in the portfolio have date + author, filed under: category and comments.

I only want to strip these options from anything I put in the portfolio.

I’m looking at the theme demo here – http://demo.appfinite.net/adapt/portfolio/ and there is no author/date on portfolio posts. Those only appear on Blog posts.

Click on the image or title and it will go to the page with post data on it.

Yeah the thing about that is they aren’t really “portfolio” posts. They are really just blog posts. The portfolio page template is completely separate, and displays all of your “blog” posts in a portfolio format. So if you want to remove what you’re asking, you would be removing it from your blog posts…which would affect all of your blog posts.

Portfolio posts don’t actually exist, since they are really just blog posts presented in a portfolio format. Does that make sense?

You may or may not want to remove them from your blog posts all together, but if you were curious how that is done, StudioPress has some tutorials and code snippets on their site that explain how to do it. Here is one of the links – http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-info/

If you need to keep them separate, I would use a portfolio plugin of some sort that has all of the features that you need. The portfolio that comes with this theme wasn’t really meant to be complex or anything. I’ve seen that Wes recommends using a plugin if you need more features.

                      Eric –

I’ve tried removing the post info without any luck. Exploring other options… In all other ways, this is an amazingly flexible and versatile theme and I enjoyed fiddling with it. Looking forward to an opportunity to use this theme.

Thanks for your replies and attention.
