    I’m using Epik Ver1.3 on a development site here: dev2.ravecommunications.com

    The primary sidebar is showing up on the home page above the 3 footers. What could be causing this?

      If you are talking about this:

      Sidebar Widget
      Add copy here…
      Simple Social Icons Plugin

      It is because you have a widget placed in the HOME FEATURE # 3 #7 or #9 areas.
      Remove the widget for Simple Social Icons from that area, and place it into the Primary Sidebar widget location. Then each page on the site will show the Icons if you select the page template with the sidebar. Full page template will not show. I think that is what happened.

      It seems to be something else. Any widgets I place in the Primary Sidebar section also show up on the home page.

      I’ve removed all the widgets from the Primary Sidebar now and I get the default message on the home page above the 3rd footer:

      This is the Primary Sidebar Widget Area. You can add content to this area by visiting your Widgets Panel and adding new widgets to this area.

      Home Feature # 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are empty. Home Feature #14 has a placeholder in it to identify it on the live site.

      Please let me know how to correct this. I can supply the WP login info by email if needed. Thanks.

        @mjones@ravecommunications.com Can you try disabling all of your plugins and taking a look to see if it works then? That’s usually what it is, as long as you haven’t added any Custom PHP code to your theme.

        So if you haven’t added any custom code to your theme, it could possibly be a plugin that is interfering with what you are trying to do.

        By disabling plugins one at a time I discovered it was the “Genesis Layout Extras” plugin that was causing the issue. After reactivating it and adjusting the settings I found that changing the “Layouts for Special Sections>Homepage Layout” setting to “Full Width Content” the primary sidebar information stopped showing up above the 3rd footer on the home page.
