      Hi,

      I’m wondering if it’s possible to insert short codes from third-party plugins into the home page widgets using the text widget? Or, some other type of widget.

      The reason I’m asking is because I’ve tried to do this with the Revolution Slider and it did not work. (http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=themepunch)

      All I got was text output of the shortcode.

      However, I just happened to have another plugin installed that allowed the shortcodes to work. This plugin is called Styles with Shortcodes (http://codecanyon.net/item/styles-with-shortcodes-for-wordpress/142221).

      The only way that I can get the Revolution Slider to work is to be sure that the Styles with Shortcodes plugin is activated. When it is not activated, the shortcodes don’t work.

      So, any guidance you could offer regarding third-party shortcodes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

        I don’t really use Shortcodes myself, but if you’re adding them from a plugin that allows you to add them in widgets, then it should work. The only thing is, you’ll have to find one that does it (if you haven’t already). If anyone else knows of any feel free to share 🙂

          I am looking at buying this plugin. Is there a solution to make this work?
