Selecting another home page

      I’ve been using the Guru Home Page for about 2 years but now I need to be able to select another page to be used as my Home page for a few months. I don’t want to delete my Guru home page. I just don’t want to use it for a few months.

      But when I simply select my new home page in WordPress Settings > Front page displays > to be the home page, the old home Page made up of Guru widgets continues to be displayed as the home page.

      How can I fix this? It seems that Guru is over riding my WordPress settings and I don’t know how to regain control.

        The homepage is a front-page.php file, and it shows up as the 1st page by default due to the way WordPress’ Template Hierarchy is designed. More info – https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/basics/template-hierarchy/#front-page-display

        You can try changing the front-page.php file name to home.php for now. Then once you select a Static Homepage from your Settings > Reading page, it should work. When you’re ready to go back, then you can change the file name back.
