    Hi,
I am using the responsive slider on my home page.
When installed in the ‘Slider Wide’ widget, the images are not displaying across the full page width, but are aligned to the left of the page, with unwanted padding. This is particularly noticeable in full width page view. I reinstalled slider in the ‘Slider’ widget & the images are centered, so it doesn’t look as bad, but there is still unwanted padding around the slides, so I prefer not to use this widget for my slides.

I would like to be able to use the ‘slider wide’ widget for my home page slides.

Can you please advise what setting are required to get this working? I have already followed instructions & implemented recommended configuration. Also, I’m sure this problem has only surfaced in the past few days as I hadn’t noticed it originally.

    Thanks,
    Athy.

The Genesis Responsive Slider images don’t center, they float left or right, but they don’t center. This isn’t caused by the theme or anything, that’s just the way the plugin itself is designed. If you add anything inside of the slider wide widget area it will center automatically….unless there is something added which uses float: left or right (like the Genesis Slider). I’d recommend adding large images that can scale and see if that helps. If your image can stretch to each end then it will “appear” centered.

There is a gotcha in relation to the slider in Epik and I assume other similar themes. Surprised it hasn’t been made a sticky. Even if you upload large images (1140px wide if you want to make it look like the example) they won’t display correctly unless you first go in to settings, media settings and change the large size to 1140px or larger.
