Some home page widgets not appearing – Ally

Good morning. I am using the Ally theme. Not sure what is wrong here, but on my home page, some of the widgets are not appearing. I just put a text widget in every single one that wasn’t appearing. All of the Home Page Middle and Home Page Bottom widgets, with the exception of the ones designated as “wide” aren’t appearing.

Is there a way to send you a link and password without publicizing it here?

Ok, so I am not very good at this, but it looks like there are inconsistencies in naming the sidebars in the functions.php and home.php.

For example, sidebar is registered in the functions.php file as “home-middle-1,” but in the home.php file, I think it is called in as “home-middle-sidebar-1.” Shall I just clean those up. I think I will try.

No they are both titled home-middle-1 in each file. There is no home-middle-sidebar-1….unless you’ve made changes to your theme? Are you using the latest theme?

Hi Wes, sorry. I was using 2 different versions of the theme. My functions.php file was from one version and my home.php file was from another. Not sure how I did that, but now I am using the latest version for both. Thanks!

Right after I replied I figured that must have been the case. I’ll need to update the changelog since I changed the function/widget names in the new version. (I did this so they can be shorter)
