      Website: http://www.southlandbrickandblock.com
      Theme: Optimal Version 1.1

When I try to activate a plugin or pretty much do anything in the wp-admin, I get the following error message: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/block/public_html/wp-content/themes/optimal/functions.php:2) in /home/block/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1173

I have the same version of Optimal on a very similar website (leebrickandblock.com) and am getting no message whatsoever (Thank God!).

Any idea what the problem is and what the most painless way I can take care of it would be.

      Thanks so much!

It appears there is something that you added that caused this to happen. Have you installed any new plugins recently? Are you able to temporarily disable them to see if the issue is fixed?

Have you added any custom code to your functions file or any other file of your theme? (this includes adding code in the Genesis Settings, or ANY part of your site). That is most likely what the issue is, especially since the theme is working perfectly fine on their demo, and your site as well as many sites that I’ve used the theme on as well. So I can only assume there is something added externally that is conflicting and causing errors. Hopefully we can figure out what’s going on.

          Eric,
Thanks for the response. I know it isn’t the theme, per se. I realize it works on the demo – in fact, I actually use it on several business websites I run… without issue… same plugins.

I was just hoping someone had an idea about what the problem could be or could tell me what I could do to fix this, because changing themes for this website is my “last option” – but, since I can’t access the posts or pages (or even the wp-admin now), it looks like I don’t have a choice. I’ll just delete the theme and use a different one.

Anyway, thanks again for replying. – Joi
