      I’ve been using Genesis for a couple years now and to be honest I was getting a little tired of the same old themes. I stumbled on the Epik theme on Saturday and immediately bought it to use on my own website (not a client’s).

      You have broken the old Genesis mold and I absolutely love it. The wider width is great. The clean look is fantastic. Great layout too.

      I’ve used the Responsive Slider on many of my websites and I’ve even been getting a little tired of it too. I decided to leave it out and see how it looked. I’m really pleased with the result. I used some colorful images for the Welcome Features and I think it looks pretty good without the slider.

      I’m still fine tuning things a little bit but I’ve taken the site off of “maintenance mode” and I’ve received several positive responses for the new theme.

      Thank you sooo much for getting creative with a Genesis child theme. Excellent job!

            Oh Wow, you really did good on this. I like the graphics.

            I guess my only question is if you’re planning to have a slider or not. If not it will show the gray space right under the header (as you can see). I didn’t know if you wanted it that way, or if you want to get rid of it or not. If you do, just let me know.

            Other than that it really looks good. I’ve been talking about setting up a showcase for a long time, I need to get this going before the end of the month. When I do, I’ll definitely add your site if you want.

              Thanks Wes. At least for now I’m not going to add a slider and I think that the space under the header really doesn’t look too bad. It kind of highlights the navigation (I made the font a little larger in the navigation). But maybe I’ve just looked at it too long and I’m used to it. I think I’ll let it sit for a day or too and then decide. Do you think it looks funny?

              Glad you like what I did with your theme. It really is the best Genesis theme out there. It’s funny the only other theme I was thinking about using was the Optimal theme and I think you made that one too.

              Feel free to add my site to your showcase, if you set one up. That would be great.
