Is there going to be an update on how to configure the genesis slider for 1.3.

What do you mean? The slider functionality should still be the same right? Have you already seen the tutorial? – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/

Keep in mind, there were two slider sections added. One is full width and the other is 1140px right under it. So if you want the old way that is 1140px, then just use the second slider area.

yes however when I put in my featured images. each image is a 960 x 350 jpg. The images are not centering on the slider section nor are the i. I can fix the css but I rather know what I’m doing wrong in the setup. I looks like the images on the demo are 1200×540 is this what I should be setting in the slider and siding my images. my site is toddjob.net any guidance is appreciated.

Again, the theme width is 1140px not 960px, so you would have to add an 1140px width image. The slider images don’t center (that’s just the way SP designed it), so you have to make the images stretch the width of the theme in order for it to “appear” centered.

Also, you need to have more than one image in order for the pagination (little circles) and the shadow to appear correctly with this particular slider. If you just have one image, then that sort of defeats the purpose of a “slider”. For one image you’d be better off just adding the image directly in a text widget instead of using a slider to show this. Removing the slider will save you some load time. If you do plan to have multiple images, then add more in the settings so everything will show up properly. Let me know once you do either of the suggestions to make sure its working properly.

You’re Welcome! I should mention that Wes is actually the creator/developer that handles all of the designs, I just help with the forums. So I’ll definitely forward the message.
