Thank you, Wes. That worked! And, to reduce the size of the logo/header-image would I reduce the width in this same area? I reduced width from 100% to 60% but did not see a change in logo size. Not sure if I’m in the right place or if its taking awhile to show up. The height adjustment was instant.
Hi all,
I see the thread about uploading your own background image in the Slider area for inSYNC that references doing so in css, but there is no follow-up. Can someone provide this css info. This is not the background image option in Customizer, its different and I’m having trouble locating the line. Here’s the thread I found from some time ago:
“If you want to replicate the background image on the demo, then you use the “Slider” widget location. If you want to upload your own background image to the Slider area just let me know and we can show you the exact line in your css that you can add your image link.”
Thank you,
Thank you Eric,
I see the portfolio page can be set as the home page and that is great!
Thank you, Wes. Epik is a great theme. Look forward to seeing the changes. I love the flatness of the featured photos within the portfolio InSync theme. Curious if we can achieve that look in Epik portfolio. I’ve worked with a lot of themes and Epik is solid.
Thank you Jason! Apologies for my delay. I’ve just seen this! Appreciate this.
Thank you, Andy. I was certain I replied to you awhile back, but do not see my response. As always I appreciate your feedback.

Mmm, I tried this while editing post and it still comes out “Read More” on the button in Portfolio http://bit.ly/1VBFv7S
<!–more Listen Now!–>
Here’s the full post text for the first position (top left) in Portfolio As you can see I have “Listen Now” but the button still reads “Read More”
<p>Methodist University – Professional MBA at Pinehurst – Enrollment <!–more Listen Now!–> Audio Production, Voice Casting, Voiceover <iframe src=”https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/237319232&color=0293b0&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ frameborder=”no” scrolling=”no”></iframe></p>
Thanks so much Andy, I’ll give it a go right away!
Thanks Andy! You were a tremendous help!
Thank, Wes. That would be great.
Best,
Caroline
I changed back to 75% till I can resolve. 100 and 90% were too large. So if you check it out I’ve set back to 75 for now.
Thanks,
Wes,
How can we be sure to receive notice of Epik updates?
Thank you, Andy. The header logo is too large. You mentioned to change back to 100% or no lower than 90%. (We previously had this at 60%) I have it at 90% but the header logo is too large. And, if centered on mobile I believe the “Y” should be over the hamburger mobile menu. The logo is a bit off-right. Before we moved it slightly to the right in Adobe, but you suggested I not do this when we uploaded the larger logo needed to eliminate the fuzzy issue.
So I’m still trying to center the logo in mobile and make the logo smaller. We eliminated the fuzzy issue, so that’s good.
Happy Thanksgiving to you too. I hope you had a nice holiday. Thanks, as always for your help.
Thank you Andy. I’ve added this at the bottom. The logo is still too large in the header. I changed back to 90%. Using the same logo as used in the footer, but much larger in the header. I’ll keep working on this.
Can you send me a email address to send these files to? When I sent via reply the email bounce back.
I’ve tried a number of things this eve to no avail:
I have always used a logo image 360 x 164 as specified in the EPIK theme. This has always come out fuzzy in the header with no cropping.
Tonight I changed the media settings as suggested in the Manage WP Blog. This did not address the issue.
Further in the article Grace’s comments mirror what my logo designer told me: Double the pixel size, upload and set precise width in pixels to half the size in the css or html so that the logo will display twice as many pixels in half the size.
I did this and when setting the css file to half the size the logo is cut in half. Also the option to “not crop” is gone when uploading a file 2x the size: 720 x 328.
Then I found this on another forum and tried it. This did not work either.
.site-header .site-logo-anchor {
position: absolute;
top: 60px;
left: 50%;
margin-right: -50%;
transform: translate(-50%, -50%)
}
Any other suggestions? Do I need to somehow override EPIK’s forced cropping of any image over 360×164 in order to maintain the larger image and then reduce by 50%?
Thank you Andy. I sized the logo exactly in Adobe PS, saved as a png and said “No” to cropping, many times over before posting this thread so that’s not it. (Head scratch here). 🙂 Thanks for this article. It confirms I’m not imagining this.
No the footer logo is larger on purpose. The header logo is smaller to accommodate the specs given for the header 360 x 161. I’ve checked the logo in Photoshop and its fine before I drop it into the header. Once in the header its fuzzy. Fuzzy on mobile too.
Thank you Andy. You’re the best!
Thank you! I just saw this for the first time. Apologies.
Thanks Eric. This morning the border was red. Looks like it just needed a bit of time to process. Appreciate you checking and providing feedback!
Hi Eric,
Here’s the link. I’ve changed the button color to a custom color but the outline is still red. I’ve entered the custom blue color# for the border, but it still shows as red.

Here’s what I added to css
a.button.loyelblue {
background-color: #0493b1 !important;
border: 1px solid #0493b1 !important;
color: #fff !important;
}
Here’s what I have in the page text editor
<p>Book Voice Talent</p>
Thanks for your help.
Caroline
Resolved.
Thank you Kronos. I will give it a try.
See if this helps Biagio

Its working great! Thank you, Wes. I added more place card items to the portfolio page to test page 2 and it’s working fine as well. I also changed the # of listings from 10 to 12 in Genesis portfolio settings on the dashboard so the final row displays 4 across like the other rows instead of 2. I believe the default settings are 10.
Thank you again for your help!
Best,
Caroline
