FYI … For all of you out there that customize child themes you have to try WP-Clips. It is an awesome plugin that allows you to maintain code aware from the standard child theme files. I have deployed on all of my sites and it works wonderfully.
Thanks…
I too prefer code editors like Sublime 2 on Mac as my file editor. But for editors for the Admin, there are several plugins available that I have used. Right now this site uses Better File Editor, but I am partial to Advanced File Editor. All are available via the plug-in repository.
Have you had a chance to review?
I have disabled the functions that hid the text site title and description.
Sorry for the lengthy time out but I just started developing again. I have created a Random post for an example with a slider image (slider size 1140×400). If you scroll down the page you will see that the image that displays in the Featured Area is not proportional to the slider.
In all fairness, this happens on other Genesis themes using a Featured Widget area.
Look at this other site of mine: http://www.wumcriegelwood.org … Images are cut off in Featured widgets.
Really hoping to understand exactly how to fix this display problem.
But what I do not understand is that the slider is not proportional to the Featured Widget Thumbnails. It would take a slider image size of 1140 x 577 to be proportional to the Featured Image size of 247×125, but all I have read indicates the slider should be 1140×400. Can you clarify?
Clarify … I have found ot that the correct size for the slider image is 1140×400, but creates some problems.
In the Featured Post Widgets in Home Featured Posts Widget area the thumbnail size is 247×125 which is not proportional to 1140×400. I would like to figure this out. I have the same problem on another WP Genesis site.
