Love the theme demo, and just installed it.

What I get though is my first blog post displayed, then the footer- not the demo slider image.

I suspect it is the path in the CSS file that I probably need to change.

I’m using MAMP for local development on my Mac and viewing through localhost:8888 with Chrome browser and the files are located in MAMP/htdocs/application/wp-content/themes/insync/images/slider-lg.jpg on my computer.

Any suggestions on what I need to change in the path in the CSS file to the image? Or does the slider need to be activated in the WordPress>Themes>Customize area?

Thanks and great looking theme. I’m looking forward to using it.

Do you have a link to your site so I can check it out?

Do you have any homepage widgets activated?

This theme’s homepage is built using homepage widgets. If you don’t have any widgets, then it will show the blog by default. You can take a look at this tutorial about that – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ Just add some widgets and the homepage template will be activated and only show the widgets that you add content to.

If you’re trying to add the slider (the same one as the demo) then you’ll need to download the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin (it’s free) located here – https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-responsive-slider/ Then follow the steps in the instructions of the plugin in order to get setup (basically create a Page or Post and add a featured image, then add the post or page ID to your Slider Settings). It’s all pretty easy, just let any of us know if you have any questions on how to set it up.
