That’s actually what I’ll be working on this week. Until then, if there is something specific that you would like to know just ask and I’ll give you the code and tell you exactly how I did it.

          Hi Wes,

I understand you are working the tutorial which will be very helpful for us. The aim is to have a website which is exactly like the demo.

For starters, can you share the how we can put up the slider and the image below it?

Yes take a look here for the slider – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-add-the-genesis-responsive-slider/

For the other tutorials, take a look here – https://appfinite.com/forum/epik-theme-support/ at the top. They will be labeled as sticky posts (highlighted threads at the top of the forum). I’ll have those added this week.

I took the image from the theme demo and included it as a featured image in the post. I have set the slider settings to 1152 x 400 according to the image size. (I have already tried to increase it). Somehow the image is not showing full and seems to be cut off. You can view it below. Any idea how?

Most people use a plugin called Regenerate Thumbnails for WordPress images. Download this plugin, run it, and it should automatically resize all of your images to be the correct size that you specify in your slider. Anytime you adjust or add a new image size, run this plugin and it will resize everything for you immediately so you don’t have to wait.
