I am admittedly new to Genesis themes (a recent disappointed user of now defunct Catalyst themes), which may explain this post. Having said that I purchased Epik as my first child theme, loaded it and now have a couple of real basic questions/problems:
1) My frontpage has disappeared and the page that appears at my base url is my posts page. I do not know of anything I did to make that happen or how to fix it. Anyone else have this problem? Can anyone help?
2) I do not see how to create a menu that has my frontpage on it so that it can be returned to through the menus. Can this be done?
Have you seen this tutorial for the homepage? – http://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/
Also, there were some code snippets/tutorials created for Epik here – http://appfinite.com/forum/epik-theme-support/ at the top….They are the highlighted sticky posts.
You can just use the “Home” link for the menu and it will link to your home/frontpage. Click “view all” for it to show on the menu page.
