Hi. I bought Adapt yesterday. When I preview it, it shows my blog posts and sidebar widgets (love the look), but when I activate it, it publishes as the header and a footer widget I thought no longer existed (it was a Genesis footer plugin since deleted). In any event, I cannot figure out how to get it to publish the way it looks in the live demo mode.
WordPress “Reading” is set to “my latest blog posts.”
      Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look here at one of the tutorials – https://appfinite.com/tutorials/how-to-setup-the-home-and-blog-page/ ….and see if that helps.

Thanks for answering, Eric. Actually, I read that tutorial and followed the instructions before posting this. What I cannot understand is why Adapt is pointing toward my header and then the footer (already deleted from my plugins) as the body of my blog, I must be missing something MAJOR. Does this child theme require a different navigational setting than, say, Genesis Default (which I’m using now) placing the header the secondary navigation position?

I apologize if I have this wrong….but are you trying to set everything up to look like the demo? If so, have you added any content to the home widgets?

Hi Eric. Well, we might both be confused, and I recognize that communication via these threads is sometimes difficult, especially if you are conversing with me, non-code savvy person that I am. 🙂

In answer to your question, no I have not added anything to the home widgets. Perhaps this is the problem?

Yes you have to add content in the Home Widgets in order to activate the homepage widget/features. If you don’t then it is designed to show the blog by default. This is mentioned in the tutorial under – “Home Widgets”

Ah, nomenclature. Okay, I’ll work on this today and let you know how I made out.

Thanks for your help, Eric. It’s a big help!

I finally fixed it. Thank you so much for your assistance, Eric. Priceless. I love the Adapt theme, by the way, and once I adapted to instructions, I’m a winner. 😉
