I am trying to use the ShareThis plugin’s hover bar on a website I’m creating. However, the bar is showing up on ALL pages. I only want it to show up on my blog posts. A friend did some custom hook that placed ShareThis’s basic icons on the bottom of my sample post only, which isn’t the look I wanted, and the edits took out the hover bar. When I selected the bar again, it went back to the original problem. BTW, I have the home page widgets set up like the demo with a separate page for blog posts. How do I get the hover bar to only show on the blog posts? Will I have the same problem with other sharing plugins like Digg Digg and Social Sharing Toolbox?

You’ll need to contact the plugin developer or their forum since this is an external plugin (not created by us). I can usually help with external plugins that I’m familiar with, but I’ve never used this one and wouldn’t want to lead you in the wrong direction.

Are you familiar with either of the other plugins I mentioned?

Unfortunately no, I don’t really use many outside plugins since I spend most of my time designing themes. I usually just add custom code when I want something like that.

If the plugin’s developer/forum can’t help, then you could try posting on the StudioPress community forum. I’m sure there’s someone there who uses one of those plugins and may know how to assist.

As mentioned here this forum is really just geared towards supporting the themes and code that I’ve created, since that’s what I know.
