      Hi Wes –

Thanks for responding – I just read your tutorial post about the “Reading” page & set it back to “Your latest posts” & now the Layer Slider seems to be displaying.

What is kinda weird is that when I first set up the site with Epik back in May – out of habit with Genesis I had created a “HOME” page & set it up in the menue – and it had been working just fine.

But now there seem to bee some other funky things going on….

      – Slides have a white border now – not sure if this is in the layerslider or a function of Epik – (if so how do I remove?

      – Widgets are now there – but what is wierd is that either the text color changed inside the widget or somehow the background color of the widget changed in hte update? Not sure – but now the white text is now gray (“FROM THE BRITISH INVASION + Paragraph and “TO THE ICONIC ABBEY ROAD & paragraph of text.

      – We are using the “BLACK” theme skin – however the back isn’t truly black as compared the the background of the widget – where can I change this please – (see the header with logo as compared to the background of the widgets

      – Cast logo is now completely missing from mobile version as seen on iPhone 4 & 5

Thanks so much for you help in advance!

        Hi Eric –

I missed your response – sorry. Whatever I did before – it worked – as I rand the code through the HTML5 converter.

But since updating the theme – I have another issue – all my widgets for hte homepage are not showing.

I will create a separate post.

        Thanks.

          Hi Kronos –

Thank you for you attention to my posts (and the great screenshots!) I do appreciate these explanations and also Scooby’s posts.

btw – I have the iPhone 4 and my husband has the iPhone 5.

I do understand the difference between how devices display content – where in portrait or landscape – and how the size of the device itself impacts the display.

What I am trying to communicate – is that the Epik theme’s demo page shows the iPhone as displaying those very same icons as HORIZONTAL:

Epik Displays icons HORIZONALLY on the iPhone

I simply asked if this could be addressed – because I want the site to display as shown in the IMAGE on the EPIK DEMO PAGE:

          http://demo.appfinite.com/epik/

Again – Wes’s DEMO image there iPhone images shows the content from the 1st widget (dark gray with cloud, clock & people icons & text) clearly displaying in a horizontal fashion.

I did not infer that Wes is selling something different from what he delivered. I said right up front that this as a great them & I thanked him.

Again – I am pointing out that there is a difference from the iPhone image shown on the Epik DEMO page and what actually happens in a real mobile environment.

I also asked if someone could please post the code to change it.

Thank you & I greatly appreciate your help.

          Barbara

            Hi Scooby –

I know you are trying to help & I appreciate your response.

However – we DO differ on what is “working”.

Again – let me point out that in this Epik theme demo iPhone/iPad image here: http://demo.appfinite.com/epik/img/ipad.png

That the icons in the first widget – specifically the cloud, the clock and the people are CLEARLY DISPLAYED AS HORIZONTAL.

Simulators aside, these DO NOT DISPLAY HORIZONTALLY on MY iPhone – which is opposite of what is shown by Wes/Appfinite in the demo image.

This is a disconnect – the demo shows one thing yet the theme behaves differently.

You think there is “nothing to fix” and “things are working as they should be” – I disagree and would like to hear from Wes or Erik on this.

            Thank you for your input,

            Respectfully,

            Barbara

              Thanks for your reply.

I love this theme & appreciate Wes’s work – but points to be made are:

              1. What I am pointing out is what is CLEARLY SHOWN in the epik them demo – see this image of the icons shown HORIZONTALLY.

              http://demo.appfinite.com/epik/img/ipad.png

The theme’s creator shows this as his sample!! Now you are telling me is not supposed to be that way.

              2. If it’s NOT supposed to be this way – it would be beneficial to the community to post the code snippit to fix this.

              Thanks,

              Barbara

                Hi Scooby –

Thanks for you quick reply – I will split hte questions up then.

Regarding the FIRST question – please go to the link: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0671gbmj63 & see how the gray widget displays the clod, clock & people icons horizontally.

Those icons DO NOT display horizontally on my iPhone – NOR on the iphone 4 or 5 simulators.

                Thanks,

                Barbara

Thank you so much! I removed:

                          opacity: .5;

                          and it worked!

                            Hi –

Can someone help please? I am trying to DISABLE the fade effect on images on posts & pages but NOT the slider.

Here is a link to the site I am building where the image fades out on mouseover: http://castofbeatlemania.net/bios/

I appreciate your help in advance!
