      Wes,

Thanks and sorry.  Sorry that I didn’t direct you to the specific archive (Featured Posts) that demonstrated the photo width problem.   I was brain-dead on that one.

Thanks that you:  1.) explained how featured images work / don’t work with Genesis;  2.) provided the thread with the CSS edit solution.  Editing the style.css file as indicated did work.

Thanks for the help and solution.  You can close out this thread.

        Wes,

Sorry for the delayed response.  I tried some trouble shooting over the past several days before I responded back to you.  In order to rule out any plugins or file edits, I created and installed a fresh WordPress site.  No additional plugins were added.  I installed the current version of Genesis and your Ally theme.

Same problem exists.  Here is another, more detailed explanation:

        FEATURED IMAGE FUNCTION

When inserting an image into a post using the FEATURED IMAGE function (no matter what size the image is):

On Archive page – image shows at full width of the content column, even if the column width is larger than the actual width of the image

On Post page – picture does NOT show on the actual post page

(So, not sure if Ally supports the “featured image” function)

INSERTING IMAGE INTO POST FROM ITS WYSIWYG EDITING WINDOW

When inserting an image directly into the post:

On archive page – shows at full width of the content column no matter what the actual image size is (same problem as using the featured image function)

On post page – picture displays CORRECTLY based upon selected settings for picture size that are selected in the “add media” window when inserting the image directly into the post

The test site is       http://www.ally.collegevector.com.      I would be happy to PM you the login credentials so you can mess around the back end.

Thanks for your help with this.
